Golf is the fourth-largest sport in the Netherlands, with almost 400,000 active members of the golf association NGF. The KLM Open is the most prestigious tournament in the Netherlands and is part of the European Tour, the highest professional golf circuit in Europe. Golf is being organized at three particularly beautiful clubs in Rotterdam, Cromstrijen, and Brielle. The last two are located close to Rotterdam and their golf courses are situated in attractive natural surroundings. Joost Luiten is the best-known Dutch golfer – he is six times winner on the European Tour. Fun fact: on average, golfers live five years longer!

In this list, you will find the frequently asked questions and their answers. If your questions are not listed, please ask them via golf@wpfgrotterdam.com. The golf participants will receive an additional questionnaire to make the golf tournament run as smoothly as possible.
1On which course do I play?
Everyone plays three days, each day on a different course.
2I am traveling with someone else, can we play on the same course?
If you have registered as a team you will play with your partner. If you have registered individually you can request to play on the same course at the same time. This does not mean that you will play in the same flight.
3When will the starting times be available?
We are working hard to have the starting times and locations available as soon as possible. We aim to have them ready before the opening ceremony.
4I am coming with my camper, where can I stay overnight?
Parking is allowed during the day on the P-places of the venues. Spending the night there is not allowed, for this you will have to find a camping place or camper overnight place.
5I need to hire a golfset, where can I do that?
If you need to hire a golf set, sent an email to info@rsgolf.nl or contact Ramon Schilperoord at +31 624 843 339. Mention in the subject “WPFG Rotterdam”. In the text please note the specifications of what you need (regular of stiff shafts, length, number of clubs, etc) This will not be arranged or paid for by the WPFG.
6What is the best way to travel to the venues?
The venues are easy to reach by car and there is plenty of parking space. From the center of Rotterdam all golf venues can be reached within 1 hour. The WPFG will organize a shuttle service to and from the courses.
7Is there a shuttle service to and from the courses?
Yes, a shuttle service to and from the courts will be organized. See the transport schedule.l
8Can I bring a caddie with me?
It is not permitted to bring a caddie onto the course.
9Can I rent a golf trolley?
Free golf trolleys are available on the courses, if you are able to bring your own trolley we would greatly appreciate it.
10I would like to rent a golf cart, is that possible?
Participants must walk on their own, only if you have a disability, with a medical certificate, you can rent a golf cart for a fee. You must indicate this well before the start of the tournament.
11Can spectators walk along?
Spectators are not allowed to walk with the participants. Several places will be designated on the courses where spectators are allowed.
12Where can I find the latest information about the golf tournament?
In the week prior to the event all golf competitors will receive an email with the latest information.
