Cycling (mountain)

Cycling (Mountain) takes place in Zoetermeer, about 20 minutes’ drive from Rotterdam, on a special mountain-bike terrain next to Snowworld. Mountain biking is originally an American sport, which quickly enjoyed global popularity. In 1996, this cycling event even became Olympic with the Dutchman Bart Brentjens as the first winner of a gold medal. After a little dip, mountain biking is once again extremely popular. Dutchman Mathieu van der Poel is becoming a phenomenon in the sport.
