WPFG Rotterdam 2022 is responsible for the organization of the Games in 2022. This includes the complete organization of the sports, locations, ceremonies, athletes village, accommodations and promotion of the event. Dutch and international participants can register for the WPFG from autumn 2022 via www.wpfgrotterdam2022.com.

WPFG Nederland is the point of contact for the Dutch participants in the WPFG. During WPFG editions abroad, they facilitate information, travel, accommodations and clothing. Also at this edition in the Netherlands, WPFG NL is the source of information for the Dutch participants and ensures that everyone gets the same orange outfit during the opening ceremony.

Registration

1When can I register?
It is now possible to register via https://wpfgrotterdam2022.com/registration/. For more information, see pages 11 and 12 of the Entry Book: Procedures for competitor entry, Registration.

3What is the registration fee?
Depending on when you register, the cost of registration is as follows:

  • May 1, 2022 – July 17, 2022: $160 USD
  • July 18, 2022 – End of Games: $175 USD

  • On top of that, there is an extra fee per sport to cover the costs associated with organizing the sport: the Sport Entry fee. Most sports categories amount to around $30 USD. Sports

    1Which sports will be included?
    Please visit the Sports page.
2My sport is not included. What do I do?
At this moment we are already organizing a large number of sports: 63 in total. Very often we receive requests to add sports. Unfortunately, we are not including any new sports at this time. Of course, we hope you are enthusiastic about one of our other sports as well, so you can participate in Rotterdam.
3Which disciplines are covered by my sport?
    Please visit the Sports page.
    4Is a professional / Olympic level required?
No, not at all. Participating is more important than winning. However, please feel free to take the initiative to put together a Dutch indoor football team, for example, with the best players from different regions. Where there is ambition, take up the challenge. But top level is not required.
5Will you be grouped according to level for each sport?
No, there are no limitations based on level.
    6What age categories are there?
    Categories are:
    18 – 29 years
    30 – 39 years
    40 – 49 years
    50 years and over

Many Individual (singles) events offer 5-year age increments. Track and Field has 5-year age categories up to 75+. Swimming has 5-year age categories up to 85+.
7There are too few participants for my sport. Now what?
If only one person/team enters any event, that person/team will be assigned to the next most reasonable category of the sport.
8When and where does my sporting event take place?
Please visit the Sports page for the sport schedule.

    Firearms and ammunition

    1Can I bring my firearm?
Competitors may bring their own weapon and ammunition for the following shooting competitions: Shotgun, PAP, PPC, Rifle Small Bore and Rifle Large Bore. Rules on possession and transportation after arrival in the Netherlands will be announced as soon as possible. For competitors from within the EU, the rules of the EU Firearms Directive apply. Weapons for the Rifle Air category are not subject to these rules and may be kept in the competitor’s possession.

    Teams

1What are the rules for entering as a team?
Each individual team member must submit an online sports entry form. Each player on the team indicates the full first and last name of the team captain on the form.
2Can I join an existing team?
Competitors from police and fire services, customs and corrections services may combine to form doubles and/or teams, regardless of agency size or service within a country.

    Accommodation & Transport

1Where can I find information about hotels?
2How can I travel between the hotel and the venue?
Public transport is free for all participants. Rotterdam is very compact, so public transportation can take you everywhere; in many cases, you can even cycle or walk. If your sport takes place outside of Rotterdam, we advise you to book a hotel nearby.

Information about transportation options to and from the (sports) venues will be published in early June. The transport overview will be based on the results of the bracketing meeting in which the tournament schedule will be finalized. Thank you for your patience.
